What is acupuncture?
Rooted in the meridian system, tailored to you.
Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice in which sterile, single-use needles are placed along specific acupuncture points of the body’s energetic meridian system to support balance, healing, and overall vitality.
At Dragon Qi Medicine in the Creston Valley, no two treatments are the same. Depending on your individual needs, your session may also incorporate electroacupuncture, gua sha, moxibustion, acutonics (needle-free acupuncture using tuning forks), or fire cupping therapy.
Every initial appointment begins with a comprehensive health intake, so your treatment plan reflects your whole story rather than a single symptom.
Your initial appointment may include
- A comprehensive health intake (75 minutes)
- Acupuncture with sterile, single-use needles
- Electroacupuncture, gua sha, moxibustion, or fire cupping as needed
- Personalized diet and lifestyle recommendations
- Herbal guidance and nervous system support practices
- Take-home tools: qi gong, yoga, and breathwork
What can acupuncture support?
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine take a whole-body approach. Patients in Creston and across the valley commonly seek care for:
- Chronic and acute pain
- Stress, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation
- Sleep concerns and fatigue
- Digestive and gut health concerns
- Hormonal and menstrual imbalances
- Fertility support for both men and women
- Pregnancy, postpartum, and labour preparation
- Menopausal symptoms
- Immune system support
- Neuropathy
- Overall health, longevity, and vitality
Chinese Medicine works alongside, not instead of, your medical care. Dr. Lindsay Fox will always refer you to your physician for concerns outside her scope of practice.
