Fertility & women’s health

Whole-person care for the whole journey.

Chinese Medicine offers a holistic approach to women’s health and fertility by supporting hormonal balance, nervous system regulation, menstrual health, reproductive vitality, and overall wellbeing.

Treatment plans at Dragon Qi Medicine in Creston are individualized and may include acupuncture, lifestyle and nutritional guidance, herbal medicine recommendations, nervous system support, cycle tracking, and take-home practices to support healing through each phase of the journey.

There is a reason fertility care rewards patience: the complete development of an ovarian follicle takes between 90 and 100 days. The follicles you are nourishing right now are the ones you will be using three months from now, which is why care is structured over a full cycle of development.

Care may include

  • Acupuncture with fertility-focused treatment planning
  • Cycle tracking and timing support
  • Individualized diet and lifestyle recommendations
  • Herbal medicine recommendations
  • Nervous system regulation support
  • Take-home practices for each phase of your cycle

Questions

Good to know.

Why is the fertility program 3 months long?

Because the complete development of an ovarian follicle takes between 90 and 100 days. The follicles you are nourishing right now are the ones you will use three months from now, so Chinese Medicine fertility care is most effective when approached consistently over at least one full cycle of development.

Can you support an IVF or IUI cycle?

Yes. Individualized acupuncture treatments are available to support IVF preparation, egg retrieval, implantation support, pre and post transfer care, and nervous system regulation throughout fertility treatment cycles. Ask about customized treatment planning around your clinic’s schedule.

Do you work with male fertility?

Yes. Chinese Medicine offers fertility support for both men and women, and treatment plans are individualized to each patient. Couples often pursue care together while trying to conceive.

What if I am not in the Creston Valley?

The virtual Fertility Optimization Program runs entirely over Zoom: 12 weekly coaching sessions with custom diet and lifestyle recommendations, recipes, meal plans, supplement guidance, and herbal formulas timed to the stages of your menstrual cycle.

Does the program include pregnancy and postpartum care?

Care extends across the whole journey: pregnancy preparation, prenatal and postpartum care, and labour preparation are all part of Dr. Lindsay Fox’s women’s health practice, alongside menopause support at the other end of the arc.

Is this a replacement for my fertility clinic?

No. Chinese Medicine works alongside your physician or fertility clinic as supportive care. Dr. Lindsay Fox refers anything outside the scope of a Registered TCM Practitioner to the appropriate provider.
